Meaning & Definition

Turnover rate

Turnover rate, a vital HR metric, indicates the proportion of employees leaving an organization in a specific timeframe, usually a year. Computation involves counting departed employees within that period, determining the average number of employees hired during the same time, and then multiplying the result by 100 to obtain the turnover rate.
