Manila, Philippines – Leading people platform and SaaS company in the Philippines, Sprout Solutions, has promoted Kislay Chandra, former Vice President of Product, as its new Chief Product Officer.
Kislay in his new role will continue to lead the Product team, and will have a more central role in the overall business strategy.
Armed with 12 years of experience managing product and software development, he was in charge of developing the strategy, and implementation of the company’s expanding product portfolio.
Kislay came to the Philippines to pursue an MBA at the Asian Institute of Management. Upon graduation, he decided to stay back and help growing companies create paradigm-changing solutions.
“I came to the Philippines to pursue an MBA at the Asian Institute of Management 10 years ago, in 2012. Little did I know that not only would I end up falling in love with the warm and friendly people, but also a very special one amongst those, my classmate at AIM who would eventually become my wife. With Sprout, the love story continues. I am so thankful to be a part of a company with such a strong sense of purpose and vision, and I don’t recall a day when going to work felt like a chore. For somebody like me, who has only worked in startups and is passionate about scaling them up, Sprout is just the rocket ship that the Doctor ordered. My mission is to imbue the organization with my blend of knowledge across software development, product management, and business, and do everything that it takes to bring it to the next level,” said Kislay.
According to Alexandria Gentry, co-founder of Sprout, “Kislay is a leader through and through. It was very evident from his earliest days in Sprout — he went broad, across the board, in ensuring he understood the business beyond the Product function; then went deep in addressing the most impactful opportunities. We have been developing him to take on the Chief Product Officer role for over a year now, and I am so proud to fully hand over the reins.”
“The CPO role in Sprout has always been extremely broad and strategic and thus it was very difficult for us to find the right fit. Kislay has a unique set of skills that he brings to bear in the role. I am very excited to chart the course of Sprout with Kislay in our Executive Team,” said Patrick Gentry, co-founder, and CEO of Sprout.
