Promoting Wellness: The Mind-Body Advocate Award

May 17, 2024

Helping clients overcome their HR challenges has always been Sprout’s North Star. It rings even more true as we navigate the new world of work.

Since the pandemic, people have changed their attitudes and expectations toward work. These circumstances led to the Great Resignation, with companies struggling to fill job vacancies.

Employers can address these hurdles by understanding employee needs and building effective, measurable strategies around them. In turn, they can create a positive employer brand that can win more applicants and employees.

A Closer Look at the Mind & Body Wellness Advocate Badge

Sprout values great employers who go the extra mile and empower their workforce. That’s why we want to recognize them for putting employees first. Our Certified Great Employers campaign celebrates organizations with exceptional experiences in three areas:

  • Mind and body wellness
  • Learning and development
  • Financial wellness

Employers can earn one of three certifications and the Mind and Body Wellness Advocate badge. This award means companies care about their employee’s mental and physical wellness, offering them exercise programs, routine check-ups, access to mental health services, and other initiatives.

What Being a Mind & Body Wellness Advocate Means

2023 Mind & Body Wellness Advocate Badge

We give this badge to employers who’ve developed and invested in Sprout’s Wellness programs. A certified Mind and Body Wellness Advocate prioritizes and provides programs focusing on their employees’ physical and mental health.

How to Become a Mind & Body Wellness Advocate

Implementing and improving a workplace wellness program can make you a certified Mind and Body Wellness Advocate. Sprout Wellness helps you prioritize your workforce’s holistic health with multiple services from licensed and trained experts. This way, you can improve job satisfaction, keeping employees around for longer.

A wellness program also offers other benefits to your employees and your organization. It encourages team members to live healthier, become more productive, and reduce work-related stress.

Furthermore, initiatives toward better employee wellness can help your company gain a significant return on investment (ROI). In 2018, researchers noted that these programs decreased healthcare costs for 49% of firms after a year. 80% of organizations achieved this result after five years.
